Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn arrives on console and PC this Tuesday, BarackFu DLC revealed

June 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

MAke a note in your diary for Tuesday (5th June) as the tongue in cheek brawler Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn by developer Big Deez Productions will be available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.  This brawler has been successfully crowdfunded on IndieGoGo and is a satirical martial arts game starring Shaquille O’Neal as a kung fu fighter.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is a martial arts brawler that sees players take the role of Shaq Fei Hung as he sets out to fight the evil demons that have been posing as Earth’s celebrities.  Big Diesel will take the fight to the spawn of Hell through a variety of environments including LA, China and Hell, while mastering devastating combo attacks.

This sequel to the 1994 fighting game features:

• Fight your way through the mean streets of China, a South American compound, LA, Fiji, and the Inferno itself.
• Voiced by the real deal, Shaquille O’Neal.
• Fight powerful, outlandish celebrities in boss battles that will make your eyes water.
• Master devastating combos, earth-shattering power moves, and a variety of weapons to conquer the evil hordes.
• Revel in an exclusive new rap track from Shaq Daddy himself.
• Transform into the legendary Big Diesel and Shaqtus to swiftly dispatch your enemies en masse.

However, the game’s first DLC pack is what is gaining the attention.  Titled BarackFu, this DLC places gamers in the role of ‘Dirty Barry’ and is obviously a take on former US president Barack Obama.  Although the DLC hasn’t been officially announced some PSN trophies provide more details of what to expect including boarding the Black Knight Satellite, fighting with a baguette in France (possibly against boss Marine Le Pig – a take on Marine Le Pen) and even taking on a character called Con-Ye (a parody of Kanye West).

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn already has a high level of crazy humour and this DLC looks set to make the game a classic.

Look out for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn arriving on consoles and PC this Tuesday.
