Shortlist for Doctor Doom role in The Fantastic Four revealed

Now that we know who’s set to play Marvel’s First Family in Fox’s upcoming reboot The Fantastic Four, attention is shifting towards the villain of the piece, with The Wrap revealing that four actors remain on the shortlist for the role of the ruthless Latverian ruler Doctor Doom.

According to the site, Fox and director Josh Trank (Chronicle) are looking at Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans) and Sam Riley (Control) for the part of Victor Von Doom, who was played by Julian McMahon in Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

The Fantastic Four is set for release on June 19th 2015, with a cast that will include Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now, That Awkward Moment) as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara (American Horror Story, House of Cards) as Susan Storm / The Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell (Billy Elliott, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn), and Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle, Fruitvale Station) as Johnny Storm / The Human Torch.
