Sigourney Weaver on returing for Avatar 2, Avatar 3 and Avatar 4

May 10, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Despite the fact that her character failed to make it to the end credits of Avatar, Sigourney Weaver is currently gearing up for a reunion with director James Cameron on his three back-to-back sequels to the highest-grossing film of all time, and during an interview with Vulture the Aliens star shared a few thoughts on the mammoth production…

“It’s going to be an adventure! It will be awesome. I can’t even imagine what I am taking on — and what James Cameron is taking on — with filming three Avatars at once, but … Peter Jackson did it with the Hobbit films, so we have that to look to. It will be challenging for me. I can’t talk about it, but my part is a little different in each one. I’ll transform somewhat.”

Weaver is set to be joined in the cast of Avatar 2, Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 by the returning Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, while Stephen Lang will be back for the three sequels too despite the fact his character Colonel Miles Quaritch also bought the farm in the first movie.
