The Mummy star Sofia Boutella has signed on to the cast of HBO’s Fahrenheit 451 remake, with Variety reporting that the actress will join the previously announced Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon.
Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes) is directing the new adaptation of the Ray Bradbury novel, which tells the story of a dystopian future where books are outlawed and ‘firemen’ burn any that are found.
Jordan will play Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor Beatty (Shannon), and struggles to regain his humanity. Boutella is set to portray Clarisse, an informant caught between the two.
In addition to The Mummy, which opens this Friday [read our review here], Boutella will soon be seen alongside Charlize Theron in the action thriller Atomic Blonde, and has also been cast in the upcoming sci-fi Hotel Artemis.
