Sparklite gets new gameplay trailer from Gamescom 2019

August 20, 2019 by Andrew Newton

At Gamescom 2019, Nintendo showed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Switch indie game Sparklite.  The new trailer can be seen below and provides a glimpse at the world waiting for players who embark on this adventure.

Sparklite is an action adventure game set in a world spread across five diverse procedurally generated biomes.  Taking the role of heroine Ada, players will explore this dangerous world, take on the might of the mining industry and harness the power of the titular Sparklite.

The world holds all kind of hazards for Ada, but thanks to Sparkmaster Rizzle’s trusty Workshop of Wonders Ada always has some place to visit to get new equipment and upgrade her gear.  A variety of high-powered weaponry is at Ada’s disposal and includes the remote control Boom Balloon and the quick firing Spark Slinger.  She also has access to gadgets such as rocket boots, the Spark Blitzer and her Multi-Tool Wrench.

Sparklite features:

  • A stunning pixel art aesthetic inspired by the classics.
  • A GameCube inspired soundtrack by composer Dale North (Wizard of Legend).
  • Five unique procedurally generated biomes to explore.
  • Invent a variety of gadgets to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
  • Take on the Baron Mining Corp and its formidable bestiary of enemies.
  • Meet the friendly citizens of Geodia and help build The Refuge.

Sparklite will be arriving on PC and consoles later this year.
