Square Enix shows off screens and gameplay footage from survival action shooter Left Alive

September 21, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Earlier in the week Square Enix announced their upcoming survival action shooter Left Alive and with today’s new screenshots and gameplay footage revealed at the Tokyo Game Show it is certainly looking to be one of the most anticipated games.  Watch the Tokyo Game Show trailer below..

Left Alive is being developed by an all star team with names from well known and well loved games including Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X).

Not much has been revealed about the game, however, the most recent Famitsu issue featured plenty of details about the game and has been translated by Gematsu.  According to this information, Left Alive will take place in a Russian city within the same universe as the Front Mission games and will take place specifically between the events of Front Mission 5 and Front Mission Evolved. Players can even expect to see (and even control) Wanzer mechs in combat.  The game depicts ‘The One Day Incident’ that occurs in the city whilst a war is taking place and the story will centre around the three protagonists that are isolated there.

Expect to see Left Alive arrive on Playstation 4 and PC next year.
