Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 to boldly go where no Trek has gone before with a puppet-themed episode

July 27, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is set to boldly go where no Star Trek series has gone before with its fourth season, with a teaser revealed during Saturday’s Star Trek Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con offering a look at Anson Mount’s Pike sitting in the Captain’s chair of the USS Enterprise… in puppet form!

That’s right, the fourth season of the Star Trek: Discovery spinoff will feature a puppet-themed episode directed by Jordan Canning (Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock), and featuring crew members designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop; check it out below…

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck), Number One (Rebecca Romijn) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise as they explore new worlds around the galaxy in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship.
