McDiarmid did previously voice The Emperor in the fourth season of Rebels, and may well have recorded these lines for ‘The Siege of Lothal’ was working on December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, where he is set to reprise the role of Darth Sidious. Witwer meanwhile provides the voice of Darth Maul in Rebels – a role he also fulfilled in last year’s Solo: A Star Wars Story.
