StarCrossed to release on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this month

April 16, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Contigo Games and Whitethorn Digital have announced that their action arcade local co-op game StarCrossed will launch on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on 29th April via the platform’s online stores.  The game has received an overwhelmingly positive reception on PC and Mac thanks to its magical girl aesthetic and themes of togetherness and unity.

In StarCrossed players choose 2 characters from an inclusive cast of five playable characters each of which with their own unique ability and personality. Using their characters unique skills, players will travel from planet to planet to defeat an evil that threatens the safety of the Nova galaxy.

The game features:

  • Choose from a cast of 5 playable characters, each with their own unique personality and ability.
  • Designed for two player local co-op with split controller offers the option for solo play or an even cozier two player experience.
  • An enjoyable Arcade Mode with a global high score leaderboard so players can prove their skills.
  • A replayable Story Mode.  Thanks to the different pair combinations players can experience different versions of the Guardian’s quest to save the Nova Galaxy.
  • Original soundtrack of magical and spacey tunes, composed by PearlPixel.

StarCrossed will launch on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on 29th April. A PC, Linux and Mac version is available via Steam, itch.io, and the Humble Store and a Playstation 4 edition is scheduled for release later this year.
