Story driven action game Ministry of Broadcast coming to Nintendo Switch next year

June 8, 2019 by Andrew Newton

PM Studios and Acttil have announced that they will be releasing their story-driven action game Ministry of Broadcast on the Nintendo Switch in early 2020.  Just as with classic platformers, Ministry of Broadcast will require players to show their skills at running and jumping and not dying.  A new trailer can be seen below providing a preview of what’s to come.

In Ministry of Broadcast players will guide our hero through a number of deadly arenas in order to earn his freedom and reunite him with his family.  In way that is reminiscent of the film Running Man, players will need to traverse a decaying urban environment filled with obstacles, including leg shattering drops, flaming barrels, spike pits and rusting steel beams, all while under surveillance by the devious Regime.  Players will encounter other people within these arenas but their fates may help players on their way.

Ministry of Broadcast features:

  • Run, jump, climb and smash through each Arena while uncovering much of the story through integrated animation sequences, environment details and dialogue from NPCs.
  • Instead of a screen filled with indicators, minimaps and HP bars, all the information is incorporated directly into the environment.  Each arena will contain important hints and clues.
  • Puzzle solving skills are required to get through arenas.  Interact with the environment by using platforms, finding and flipping the right levers and maybe even sacrifice an NPC.
  • Plenty of impish humor, grade-A sarcasm and comic mischief which contrasts with the dark, heavy themes of a dystopian world.

Look out for Ministry of Broadcast coming to the Switch next year.
