Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown reveals she auditioned for X-23 in Logan

May 31, 2017 by Jordan Jones

X-23 might very well be the best part of an already amazing movie. Logan was praised by critics, and fans alike, amd Dafne Keen’s performance often comes out on top when discussing the high points in the movie. Her unbridled ferocity, despite her stature, was more than an equal to Hugh Jackman’s aging Wolverine.

At this point, it’s hard to picture another actress taking the role, but what if things had turned out differently? Speaking to Variety via their “Actors on Actors” series, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown talks about her experience auditioning for the role of X-23:

“I was like, ‘It’s going to be amazing, I’m going to really prepare,’ and I sat in my room reading the lines. Honestly, for me, I felt so — I felt an actor, in the audition room, hitting Hugh Jackman, and James Mangold sitting right in front of me.”

The actress goes on to state that even though she didn’t get the part, she was a big fan of Dafne Keen’s performance. ”I watched it; she was incredible,” Brown said. “It meant so much to me.”

To watch Millie Bobby Brown in a role that she did get, you can see her as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 2 this fall on Netflix, while she also is set to appear in 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
