Stranger Things VR coming to PSVR2 this December

November 7, 2024 by Andrew Newton

It’s going to be all go for fans of Stranger Things this December as art and game studio Tender Claws announce that Stranger Things VR will be arriving on the PS VR2 and Steam on the 5th December.  Previously only available on the Meta Quest, Stranger Things VR allows players to experience the world of the hit TV show from the never-before-seen perspective of the evil Vecna.  Watch the trailer below to see more…

In Stranger Things VR, players will become Vecna as he explores the Upside Down, forms a hive mind and formulates his plans to get revenge on Eleven and the town of Hawkins. As Vecna, players will be able to invade the dreams and recall the memories of some of the fan-favourite characters from the TV series.

The game will follow Vecna’s transformation from Henry Creel and use their telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle strange creatures, as well as discover his influence on the events of previous seasons of Stranger Things.

Featuring:

  • Explore an otherworldly, interconnected hive mind and relive memories from Henry’s time at Hawkins Lab with Dr. Brenner.
  • Observe the dreams and memories of characters such as Will Byers and Billy Hargrove and manipulate them to make them mere puppets.
  • Use telekinesis to grab, crush and throw enemies.
  • Open and close portals between worlds and alternate realities.
