Survive the living dead in Cedar Games’ Z-Alert

January 31, 2018 by Andrew Newton

For those needing a zombie fix, Cologne based indie developer Cedar Games have announced their debut title, Z-Alert, a 2D survival RPG coming to PC and Mac.  An entire post apocalyptic world will be available to scavenge and survive in.  In celebration of the announcement, Cedar games have released a trailer which can be seen below…

Set in a 2D post apocalyptic world, Z-Alert sees players having to survive the hordes of undead.  A vibrantly illustrated environment awaits to be explored and resources await to be scavenged but players will have to be aware of the ever present dangers of the living dead and other, less friendly, survivors.  In order to survive till the next sunrise survivors will need to scavenge for materials to construct a shelter and craft items and then recruit other characters to  help defend against the hordes.

Z-Alert will be playable in both online or offline mode and will also feature many highly customisable systems including user interface, character skills and perks, automated combat and even skirmishes or tactical isometric encounters.

“We’re extremely happy to finally lift the lid on Z-Alert” said John Nash, Lead Designer at Cedar Games, “our mix of survival RPG and simulation is a pretty special one. What we’ve been able to show today is just the tip of the pickaxe and I can’t wait to reveal more information in the coming months.”

Look out for more details about Z-Alert in the near future.
