Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack invades the Nintendo Switch

May 12, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Drinkbox Studios have released their classic platform puzzler Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack on the Nintendo Switch eShop.  Those buying the game within the first two weeks of launch will benefit from a generouos 30% discount, but better than that, owners of any Drinkbox Games on Nintendo Switch including Severed, Guacamelee! STCE, Guacamelee! 2 will get a wonderful discount of 40%. Watch the new launch trailer below..

This sci-fi platform puzzler will see players take the role of an ill-tempered blob who wants to destroy the whole of human civilisation and the only way he can do this is by swallowing everything in his path.    Blob will start life as a tiny captive to humans and will need to eat anything he comes across to help him grow into giant proportions.  As blob evolves, players will be able to gain strange abilities, including magnetism, telekinesis and rocket boosting and use these to help consume more humans.

The game features:

  • 24 levels with a wide range of retro, 1950’s-inspired environments.
  • Play through 5 ‘Tilt-a-Blob’ bonus levels featuring gyroscopic controls.
  • Absorb everything you touch and grow to massive world-eating proportions.
  • Move objects with telekinesis, push and pull your weight against metal and jump, slam and roll your way through levels.
  • Use touch controls to manipulate the environment in handheld mode.
  • Normal controls for those who hate touch controls.
  • Multiple in-game achievements.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is available on the Nintendo eShop.
