Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox and Beverly D’Angelo set for suspense thriller Masha’s Mushroom

May 7, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Tara Reid (Sharknado) and Vivica A. Fox (Empire) are teaming to produce and star in Masha’s Mushrooms, a suspense thriller which will also feature Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation).

Directed by White Cross (Mummy Dearest), Masha’s Mushrooms will see Reid playing “a workaholic mother who tries to throw the perfect party for her daughter, but all the guests are unknowingly drugged and must figure out what is real and what is a hallucination in order to survive.”

“I’m so excited about producing and making this film,” said Reid. “It’s truly gonna be amazing visually and the characters are incredible. I also can’t wait to work with my director and business partner White Cross. It’s also exciting that I’m making another franchise. It’s really great to be on both sides as a producer and actress.”

Reid and Fox previously starred together in Sharknado 2: The Second One and The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time. Their new film was due to begin shooting prior to the global health crisis and plans to go into production once the lockdown ends.
