The 2016 PGA Awards took place last night, with Adam McKay’s satirical comedy-drama The Big Short receiving the top honour, the The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, in what is being seen as a major surprise – and a major boost for the film’s Oscar hopes.
Other winners on the night includes Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out (Animated Theatrical Motion Picture), Amy (Documentary Theatrical Motion Picture), Fargo (Long Form Television), Game of Thrones (Episodic Television, Drama) and Transparent (Episodic Television, Comedy).
