The Boys spin-off Vought Rising announced, teaming Aya Cash’s Stormfront and Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy

July 26, 2024 by EJ Moreno

As The Boys prepares for its final season, the universe expands.

It was announced at Comic-Con that Prime Video had greenlit a prequel series of The Boys titled Vought Rising. Fan favorites Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash are set to headline and produce Vought Rising, returning as Solider Boy and Stormfront, respectively.

The Boys series executive producer Paul Grellong serves as EP and showrunner for the series, with Eric Kripke involved in the franchise expansion.

“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys, Kripke and Grellong said as they introduced the new series.

“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,” they said, adding, “We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

While vastly different, the two characters have a similar origin. Frederick Vought created Soldier Boy during World War II and would become the first American non-aging Supe. Stormfront was Vought’s first successful test subject for Compound V, and she married him before they moved to the U.S

The Boys just wrapped its fourth season, which is now streaming on Prime Video. Check out a newly released gag reel below…
