The Bundys are returning for Married… with Children animated revival

May 16, 2022 by Gary Collinson

The Bundys looks set to make their return to the small screen, with Deadline reporting that Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino are on board to reprise their respective roles in an animated revival of the classic U.S. sitcom Married… with Children.

According to the trade, Family Guy executive producer Alex Carter is behind the potential revival and will serve as showrunner on the project, which is being produced by Sony Pictures Television.

The project has been in the works for over a year now, and with the actors all officially on board the package is being shopped to potential outlets with network Fox (which aired the original series) and streamers Hulu and Peacock (which currently carry the show on streaming) said to be considered front runners.

Created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt, Married… with Children launched in 1987 and was a huge success for then-fledgling network Fox, running for a total of 11 seasons before being cancelled in 1997. Talk of a revival is nothing new, with the cast having all expressed interest in returning over the past few years.
