April 9, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Dovetail Games has announced a brand new species hunting fishing game, The Catch: Carp & Coarse, coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC this summer.  This upcoming fishing title allows players to use skill and strategy to hunt down monster sized fish from around the world.  Check out the new trailer below…

In The Catch: Carp & Coarse players will use strategy, skill and tactics to hunt down and catch 35 different species of fish.  Anglers will need to choose their fishing spot carefully and take into consideration time of day, weather conditions and equipment setup.

As well as the 35 different species of fish, there will also be 125 legendary Boss Fish for you to catch including 11 Monster Boss Fish.  These boss fish will put up tremendous fights and only those who have mastered fishing will be able to land them.

The game features:

  • 35 different species of realistic fish, each with their own unique behaviour and bait preferences.  Catch species including trout, salmon, pike pacu, mekong and redtail catfish.
  • For the ultimate challenge try landing the 125 legendary Boss Fish including 11 Monster Boss Fish.
  • 5 unique destinations from around the world.  These include Oxlease Lake, The River Ebro, Pearl Lake, Rotterdam city centre and Loch Mickle.
  • Advanced water flow that will affect fishing from either the bank or in a boat.
  • Hundreds of different items and pieces of equipment from over 20 licensed partners including RidgeMonkey and Mainline Baits.
  • Multiplayer modes and tournaments that will feed players’ competitive streak.
  • A unique set of challenges that will provide exclusive rewards when completed.
