The first Elite Dungeon arrives on Runescape

June 27, 2018 by Andrew Newton

It’s time for Runescape fans to get their best weapons at the ready as Jagex have launched the very first Elite Dungeon into the game.  The Temple of Aminishi will welcome brave players who choose to enter its depths either solo or with friends to defeat the evil that dwells within.

The Temple of Aminishi opens its doors to all RuneScape members eager to test their mettle against mobs, mini-bosses and a triple threat of aquatic enemies including the serpent, Seiryu the Azure Serpent, the spirit of water.  Lower level players will take the boat from Port Sarim after they have completed the ‘Impressing the Locals’ novice quest.  Players who manage to defeat Seiryu will be rewarded with a selection of items including new cosmetic outfit, weapon, tier 82-92 equipment and a raise to their Dungeoneering skill; they will also receive the ‘Acolyte of Seiryu’ title.

“Elite Dungeons are a great way of delivering raid-like experiences without having to gather together a large group of friends and clanmates. The launch of the Temple of Aminishi offers a brilliant way to experience the continuation of The Arc storyline we began in RuneScape a couple of years ago, with a compelling tale and challenging bosses to overcome. We’re really excited to see what players think as they battle their way to Seiryu’s chamber and learn the secrets of the azure water serpent.” Said Dave Osborne, Lead Designer, RuneScape.

The Temple of Aminishi is available to experience now and will be followed by a second Elite Dungeon later this summer.
