The Forsaken Temple free level now available on Warhammer: Vermintide 2

December 11, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Fatshark has announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be receiving its first update to Versus on 17th December. They’ve also released the new free level The Forsaken Temple.  This new level is the first level of the three-part adventure, Verminous Dreams, that sees the Heroes set out on a new adventure.  Watch the new trailer below…

With The Forsaken Temple, the Heroes hear of the discovery of the evil Skaven making home in the ruins of an ancient and formerly mythical elven temple.  What exactly are the Pactsworn doing at these mythical ruins and what could they be searching for? It’s time for players to delve straight in and stop their plans in this first level of the new three-part adventure.  Parts two and three are scheduled to arrive in 2025.

Coming on the 17th December is the new update for Versus and arriving with this is the new playable Rat Ogre monster. The Rat Ogre is a very powerful creature in the Pactsworn’s forces.  Also arriving in the update are new premium cosmetics with which to battle in style.  These include:

  • Gotrek Gurnisson outfit for Bardin’s Slayer career. Gotrek is the most deadly and renowned of Slayers.
  • Felix Jaeger outfit for Markus’ Mercenary career. Felix is the dashing human companion to Gotrek.
  • Count Boris Todbringer inspired hero skin for Saltzpyre’s Bounty Hunter career.
  • Naieth the Prophetess outfit available for all of Kerillian’s careers.
  • Isabella Von Carstein inspired skin for Sienna’s Pyromancer and Necromancer careers.

All these cosmetics are available to purchase direct from Lohner’s Emporium.

Finally, December sees the return of the Gifts of the Wolf Father. Until 3rd January, players can access Lohner’s Emporium everyday to claim a gift, these include cosmetics, illusions, coins, frames and more.

Load up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and start exploring the Forsaken Temple.
