UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 4th December to Sunday 6th December 2015…
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 made it three weeks in a row at the top of the UK box office this past week, leading an unchanged top four with a third weekend haul of £2,240,723 to push its UK gross beyond £23 million.
Three newcomers managed to crack the top ten, with the festive comedy Christmas with the Coopers debuting in fifth place with £683,217, followed by Victor Frankenstein in eighth with £431,125 and Krampus in ninth with £412,713.
Meanwhile, Spectre has become the first film since Skyfall to cross £90 million here in the UK, with the film closing in on Avatar’s haul of £94 million, which would make it the second-highest grossing movie on these shores.
