The Lost Boys reboot casts Rochelle Aytes

March 7, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this week it was announced that  Branden Cook (Industry), Lincoln Younes (Grand Hotel) and Ruby Cruz (Castle Rock) have been cast as the leads in The CW’s retooled pilot for The Lost Boys, and now Deadline brings word that Mistresses actress Rochelle Aytes has also joined the cast.

Aytes is set to play single mother Jackie, who along with her Gen Z sons Garrett (Cook) and Levi, moves back to her North Carolina seaside town in order to take over her father’s bed and breakfast. Jackie is the Lucy Emerson role from the Joel Schumacher-directed movie, where the character was portrayed by Dianne Wiest.

The CW has been working on a TV adaptation of the cult 80s vampire film for the past three years and produced a pilot last year, which failed to make it to series. Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) and Heather Mitchell (Scandal) have created this latest version, with Marcos Siega (The Vampire Diaries) directing.

Expect further casting news soon…
