The Suicide Squad has the biggest practical sets of any James Gunn film

January 1, 2020 by Samuel Brace

James Gunn says that The Suicide Squad has the most and the biggest practical sets of any of his movies.

James Gunn’s first foray into the world of DC is highly anticipated, even by fans of his efforts in the MCU. But what can we expect from the film in terms of production?

Well, in response to a fan on Instagram (via ComicBook.com), who asked “can we expect big elaborate sets in Suicide Squad like the prison in GOTG?” Gunn replied that big practical sets are well and truly a part of the movie:

“#TheSuicideSquad will have by far the most and the biggest practical sets of any movie I’ve ever worked on”.

There is certainly a large contingent of movie fans these days that are well and truly in favour of more practical sets and effects instead of the use of CGI, so this will be music to their ears. Finger’s crossed the film is a special one!
