The Witcher will return in December, season 2 trailer, episode titles and first look images revealed

After a long delay due to the global pandemic, The Witcher is set to return December 17 on Netflix. Along with the announcement, which was revealed at WitcherCon, the teaser trailer along with a small batch of first look images was released with the main poster showcasing Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia with Freya Allen’s Ciri as they approach the ruins of Kaer Morhen. Meanwhile, the series’ Twitter account listed the episode titles with cryptic clues for the second season. Check them out below…

Season two will follow Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, who seeks to bring Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri. Other cast members include Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, Emma Appleton, Eamon Farren, Joey Batey, Lars Mikkelsen, Royce Pierreson, Maciej Musiał, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte, and Anna Shaffe.

New additions to the cast for the second season include Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Mecia Simson as Francesca, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, and Rebecca Hanssen as Queen Meve.
