This year’s Arrowverse crossover is titled ‘Elseworlds’

September 28, 2018 by Gary Collinson

The CW is set to bring The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl together once more this December for the network’s annual DC crossover, and it has now been revealed that this year’s superhero event is going by the title ‘Elseworlds’.

The term ‘Elseworlds’ will be familiar to fans of DC Comics, being the term that the publisher uses for “what if?” type tales taking place outside of the main DC universe continuity, such as Batman: Gotham By Gaslight or Superman: Red Son.

Whether that will be the case with this crossover remains to be seen, given that plot details are being kept firmly under wraps. We do know however that the three-part crossover will see The Flash (Grant Gustin), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) heading to Gotham City to investigate Arkhm Asylum doctor John Deegan (Jeremy Davies).

The crossover will also feature the return of Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) as well as introducing the likes of Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Nora Fries (Cassandra Jean Amell).

‘Elseworlds’ begins with The Flash on December 9th, followed by Arrow on December 10th and Supergirl on December 11th.
