Three X-Men favourites rumoured to cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse

March 24, 2015 by Luke Owen

We know that Bryan Singer’s next X-Men movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, will once again focus on the First Class team rather than the old guard as he did with X-Men: Days of Future Past. But that’s not to say that some of the older X-Men folk will be shying away from the movie.

According to the chaps over at Latino-Review, principal photography of X-Men: Apocalypse is set to start next month and among those called in are Hugh Jackman to reprise his role as Wolverine (no surprises there), Halle Berry as Storm (some surprises there) and Channing Tatum as Gambit (many surprises there!). Other rumours also state that Sir Ian McKellen is also going to come in to feature as Magneto once again.

With Tatum, it makes sense for 20th Century Fox to use this movie as a launch pad for Gambit’s solo movie, which is set for release later in 2016.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 19th, 2016 and stars X-Men veterans James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) alongside Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Apocalypse, Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan (Mud) as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis) as Storm and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Nightcrawler.
