Tidal Tribe to be released on PC

March 26, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Solo developer Sepia Rain has announced that their upcoming god game, Tidal Tribe, will be released on PC later this year.  In tried and tested god game style, Tidal Tribe will have players protecting their tribe from the unrelenting waves that threaten to destroy them.  Watch the new announcement trailer below…

In Tidal Tribe the seas are the biggest threat to the tribe, the powerful waves and flooding is a constant worry to the little NPC’s.  Fortunately, players have the power of gods to shape the terrain to ensure the safety of the little tribes people.  Land can be raised and lowered, lakes and rivers can be formed and deserts can turned into lush deserts and fertile lands.

Plants are the key to success and different varieties of fruits will satisfy the needs of the NPCs but will have different growing conditions such as need to be near the sea and requiring sunlight or shade.  Careful planning of all these will help the village prosper.

Tidal Tribe features:

  • A dynamic world with shapeable terrain, waves flowing and eroding, vegetation growing and villages expanding and shrinking.
  • NPC AIs will manage their environment by collecting fruits, guarding their plantations against thieves, fighting and even stealing and waging war.
  • Story mode with 5 main missions plus more than a dozen side missions,  several minigames and other surprises.
  • Different endings determined by how the world is shaped.
  • Challenge mode (score attack & time attack) with 4 challenges (though more to come).
  • Free game mode: just play in a randomly generated world.
  • Over four hours of original music.

Look out for Tidal Tribe coming to PC via Steam soon.
