Tides of Vengeance now live for World of Warcraft

December 12, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the first major content update for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is now live.  Tides of Vengeance continues the great war between the Horde and the Alliance.  New allies will take part in the battle, new islands await exploration and a new chapter in the war campaign will lure players back to the front line.

Tides of Vengeance is a huge update and will bring lots of new quests, gear and opportunities for war.  This update will feature:

  • New world quests are available all over Kul Tiras and Zandalar as enemy factions launch new assaults.
  • A brand new chapter in the War Campaign will see players return to their ships in Boralus and Zuldazar and help their factions in more missions and questlines.
  • It’s time for the Night Elves to retake their ancestral home from the Forsaken and new quests will lead players to the Battle for Darkshore, an all new co-op warfront.
  • Two new island expeditions are available to the adventurous.  The Islands of Jorundall and Havenswood will bring new enemies, more vendors, new achievements and more items.
  • Heritage armour is available for two races, Dwarves and Blood Elves.  Players will need to reach level 120 and start their journey at the embassies in Orgrimmar or Stormwind.
  • Profession updates for certain professions will bring new gear, more feasts for raid and dungeon groups, new inscription contracts and craftable pets.
  • Players can visit the Pet Dungeon and take part in battles using their battle pets.  Complete the challenge mode to earn rewards that can be exchanged for items from Micro Zoox including an Unopened Gnomeregan Supply Box, Mechanical Cockroach, Schematic: Mechantula (Engineering), Leper Rat Tail, and Rechargeable Alarm-O-Dog Battery.
