Tim Blake Nelson joins Gerard Butler in Angel Has Fallen

February 25, 2018 by Gary Collinson

The cast of the Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen follow-up Angel Has Fallen continues to come together, with Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) announced as the latest addition to the upcoming action threequel.

Directed by Ric Roman Waugh (Shot Caller), Angel Has Fallen sees Gerard Butler back as Secret Service agent Mike Banning alongside Morgan Freeman’s President Trumball, and will follow Banning as he is framed for the attempted assassination of the POTUS and has to elude his own agency and the FBI in an effort to clear his name and uncover the real threat.

Nelson joins fellow new additions Jada Pinkett Smith (Girls Trip), Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) and Sapir Azulay (The Angel) in the film, which is currently without a release date but is expected to arrive later in the year.
