Tim Miller returning to direct Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2

April 14, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Variety is reporting news that will please many chimichanga lovers – Deadpool director Tim Miller is officially returning for Deadpool 2.

Fox co-chairman Stacey Snider announced at CinemaCon, which is taking place in the US this week, that director Miller and star Ryan Reynolds will both be returning for the anticipated sequel. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were previously announced as scripting the sequel.

Deadpool has had a enormously successful run at the worldwide box-office, grossing over $757.3 million around the globe and taking the crown as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. In the US, the film currently sits in first place for 2016 releases, with almost $359 million grossed since its debut back in February.
