Titan set to publish official Dark Souls comic book series

January 21, 2016 by Villordsutch

Titan Comics have announced that they will soon be publishing the official Dark Souls comic book series.  Due to be set within the world created Bandai Namco & FromSoftware, the series will be written by George Mann (Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor, Newbury and Hobbes Investigations) and illustrated by Alan Quah (Orphan Black, Godzilla: Awakening).  Check out the covers below from both Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini….

Check out the Darks Souls III trailer here at Flickering Myth.

“I’m ‘dead’ excited to be working on this new series (see what I did, there),” states George Mann. “Dark Souls has a rich, original universe that’s just begging to be explored in comics, and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to delve in and tell some new stories within it. I’ve been a fan of the games for some time, so it’s a real thrill to be able to contribute to the mythology of the Hollows and their world.”

The critically acclaimed action role-playing video game was originally released in Japan in 2011 and has now sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the Sin followed in April 2015 and the highly anticipated third game in the series is released worldwide April 2016.

You can expect Dark Souls #1 to arrive in comic book stores on April 6, 2016.  It will be dropping onto the shelves with five covers to collect including a game cover, concept cover, plus the two art covers [seen above] by Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini and a blank sketch variant.
