Toby Jones to play villain in Sherlock series 4

Toby Jones is set to join the cast of the fourth series of Sherlock as the villain, although details of his role are being kept under wraps.

On the casting, showrunner Steven Moffat said, “Delighted to have Toby Jones on board, bringing to life one of  Doyle’’s finest villains.”

Filming is currently underway for the fourth series of Sherlock which is expected to air sometime in early 2017 on BBC One.

Series four begins with the nation’s favourite detective, the mercurial Sherlock Holmes, back once more on British soil, as Doctor Watson and his wife, Mary, prepare for their biggest ever challenge – becoming parents for the first time.
