Tom Hiddleston knew about Marvel’s Loki series before Avengers: Infinity War

August 15, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Tom Hiddleston, the star of Disney+ Loki series, has revealed how long he has been keeping quiet about its existence.

It was announced by Disney back in December that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki would be returning for a live-action limited series on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, but how long had the actor known that Avengers: Endgame wasn’t going to be his last MCU appearance?

Well, in a recent interview for MTV News’ Personal Space the actor revealed: “I knew about six weeks before the worldwide release of Avengers: Infinity War. Which meant I had to go and do press for Avengers: Infinity War going, ‘Yup, that’s it guys.'”

Of course, many fans are excited to see Loki returning to the fray once more and Hiddleston himself is looking forward to spending more time with the character:

“I know this character now. I feel that the audience knows him. And playing him — and playing him truthfully, but presenting him with new challenges, which then I’d have to change him in different ways, is the most exciting aspect of it. You’ve got his very specific gifts. His intelligence, treachery, his mischief, his magic, and then seeing him come up against more formidable opponents, the like of which he has never seen or known. I wish I could tell you what happens, but I can’t.”
