Toni Collette joins star-studded Rian Johnson film Knives Out

October 30, 2018 by EJ Moreno

As reported initially by Variety, Toni Collette is joining the cast of Rian Johnson’s upcoming film Knives Out. Collette joins Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ana de Armas in this jam-packed ensemble piece.

Knives Out is said to be a modern-day murder mystery in a classic “whodunit” style, which is meant to blend nicely with Johnson’s signature style. Think of a film like Looper or Brick, but with this mystery element. There are little details about the plot other than Daniel Craig will star as a detective assigned to solve a crime.

Details about Toni Collette’s character remain unknown. Knives Out will follow her transcending performance in A24’s Hereditary. This film is also the first film for Rian Johnson after his polarizing Star Wars film, The Last Jedi.

What do you think of this movie’s growing cast? Will you see Knives Out? Let us know in the comments below…
