Top down shooter The Walking Vegetables coming to PC this September

September 13, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Merge Games and developer Still Running have announced that their top-down 80’s inspired shooter The Walking Vegetables will be released on PC on the 27th September.  This madcap shooter sees 1 – 2 players shooting hordes of shambling vegetables as they crawl and bite their way through the city.  Watch the gameplay trailer below for a taste of what’s to come…

Set in the 1980’s, The Walking Vegetables sees the Earth invaded by an evil alien race and unlike other aliens who have turned our machines against us or people into zombies these decide to turn all veg into crawling, mauling, zombie abominations.  These aliens have created over 20 organic enemies and boss veg for players to mash, dice and boil in this fast paced, top down, zombie veg shooter.

In The Walking Vegetables players take the role of a police officer in the Department Radical police force who have been tasked with destroying these out of date vegetables.  Players will need to build up their character by choosing from over 20 unique skills as they dash from city to city looting buildings for better guns, gadgets, goodies and gold.  Skills such as Big Game Hunter, Pulpinator, Akimbo and Tongue of Steel can be combined to create powerful effects.

The Walking Vegetables will be available on Steam and other online sites on the 27th September priced £6.99, €9.99 and $9.99.
