A trailer has arrived online for director Ran Huang’s upcoming crime thriller What Remains.
Loosely based on a true story, the film follows therapist Anna (Andrea Riseborough) and police officer Soren (Stellan Skarsgård) as they work together to uncover the truth behind the confession of psychiatric hospital patient Mads (Gustaf Skarsgård), after he claims to have committed – and is convicted of – multiple murders. During the 1990s, at a Scandinavian psychiatric hospital, a man known as Mads Lake confessed to multiple murders and was convicted. However, the uneasy triumvirate of Mads, therapist Anna Rudebeck and policeman Soren Rank, all have a vested interest in unearthing the truth, and a deepening co-dependency threatens to consume them all.
What Remains is set for release on June 21st.
