Bleecker Street has shared a poster and trailer for Slanted, the upcoming body horror from writer-director Amy Wang.
The film centres on Joan, a Chinese American teenager with dreams of becoming prom queen, who undergoes surgery at a mysterious cosmetic clinic to change her ethnicity in hope of becoming popular, but her new white, blonde identity comes at a cost.
The cast includes Shirley Chen, Mckenna Grace, Vivian Wu, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Amelie Zilber, Fang Du, Elaine Hendrix, and R. Keith Harris. Watch the trailer below…
