Turbo Kid video game is launching on Nintendo Switch in August

July 23, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Outerminds Inc. will take Nintendo Switch players into an hilariously violent wasteland on 5th August when they release Turbo Kid (with a major update for PC gamers). Created as a continuation of the 2015 film, Turbo Kid will have players fighting their way past weirdos and scoundrels.

Turbo Kid is a Metroidvania single-player adventure that has players journey through a hellish wasteland on the ultimate vehicle – a BMX. Players will ride their way past an assortment of enemies using an absurd arsenal of weapons, including Turbo Blasts, circular saws, rockets, lightning, ooze, and much more. There’s a cast of odd characters to meet that offer quests, questionable advice and a bucket load of laughs.

Featuring:

  • Blaze a trail through a mutant-infested wasteland and leave a trail of pixelated gore behind.
  • Use the reliable BMX anytime to boost through maps, unlock shortcuts, and smash enemies. Performing tricks is optional.
  • From machetes to saw blades, players will have access to a huge range of weapons to create plenty of pixel gore.
  • Set after the events of the film, players can forge their path through a twisted world filled with bizarre characters.
  • No unskippable cut-scenes, so players can speedrun through the story.

Look out for Turbo Kid arriving on Nintendo Switch on 5th August.
