Turtle Beach reveal two new headsets – say hello to the Recon 200 and Stealth 300

June 15, 2018 by Andrew Newton

At this year’s E3, leading gaming headset and audio accessory brand Turtle Beach unveiled their latest two headsets which have been designed to be perfectly suited for those helping in the explosive growth of the Battle Royale genre.  The Recon 200 and Stealth 300 will deliver high quality audio and be comfortable and durable for those long hours of gaming.  You can see more of these new headsets in the trailers below…

The Recon 200 works on both the Xbox One and PS4 and delivers great sound and crystal clear chat through 40mm speakers.  For extra comfort and durability it has a metal reinforced headband and synthetic leather wrapped memory foam cushions that will ensure you can game for hours without being distracted by aching ears.

Other features of this headset include:

  • A rechargeable battery delivering over 12 hours of gaming per charge.
  • High sensitivity flip to mute mic.
  • Onboard controls for Master Volume, Variable Mic Monitoring and switching between Xbox One and PS4.
  • Works on Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile devices with a 3.5mm jack.

This headset will be available this autumn.

The Stealth 300 headset incorporates many features from the Stealth 600 and is compatible with the Xbox One and PS4.  Providing powerful sound, this headset will include a metal reinforced headband, Turtle Beach’s unique ProSpecs glasses, memory foam ear cushions and a 40 hour rechargeable battery.  As well as all these cool features the Stealth 300 for the Xbox One is optimised to deliver Microsoft’s Windows Sonic for Headphones surround sound meaning more immersion for gamers during gaming and movies.

Gamers can expect to get their hands on the Stealth 300 this July.

“We’ve seen unprecedented industry growth this year in the headset market, with Turtle Beach outpacing that industry growth by nearly 38% because we deliver the high-quality headsets gamers want and need to be successful in popular Battle Royale games like Fortnite and PUBG, as well as all genres,” said Juergen Stark, CEO, Turtle Beach Corporation. “Gamers demand superior audio and comfort no matter their level of play, and that’s what we bring to the table with a variety of products to suit every type of gamer. The new Recon 200 and Stealth 300 headsets give every player a definitive audio advantage and the premium comfort they need to weather the storm, for a price that doesn’t break the bank.”

Look out for both headsets coming to retailers later this year.
