Twin stick shooter Time Recoil arrives on Nintendo Switch this week

October 23, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Finnish indie developer 10tons Ltd. have announced that their top down twin stick shooter, Time Recoil, will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 26th October.  This explosive new shooter is a tale of revenge that will see players kill to slow down time.  Check out the launch trailer below to see this ability in action…

In Time Recoil players take the role of a member of a rebel organisation fighting against Mr. Time, a mad scientist dictator hellbent on destroying them.  Players will travel throughout the levels killing a variety of enemies sent by Mr Time.  Fortunately, players have been given the unique ‘Kill to Slow Time’ super power that activates when an enemy is killed.  Additional kills extend the slowdown period and charge up a special move that causes all time to completely freeze.

Time Recoil features:

  • Kill to slow time – every enemy you kill will grant you more time in slow motion.
  • Earn special moves: The longer your kill-combo, the more powerful your ability.
  • Travel into the past with wormholes and finally kill Mr. Time.
  • Try to earn all the stars and climb the leaderboards in Time Attack mode.

”We’ve been overjoyed by the great reception our three Nintendo Switch titles thus far, Sparkle 2, Neon Chrome, and JYDGE, have received. Time Recoil is another great shooter with distinct gameplay and feel, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it on Nintendo Switch.” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd.

Time Recoil will be available for the Nintendo Switch this Thursday.
