While the 1960s TV series Batman featured virtually all of the Caped Crusader’s most iconic foes, one member of the Rogues Gallery who never made it to the small screen was that of Two-Face. Clint Eastwood was wanted for the role of the former D.A. (albeit reimagined as a disfigured news anchor), but the character was deemed “too gruesome and too violent” for the show, and sadly the plug was pulled… until now. Well, kind of.
DC Comics has announced that Two-Face will be making his Batman ’66 debut in a new comic book series Batman ’66: The Lost Episode, and thanks to ComicBook, we’ve got a look at the rather splendid variant cover by artist Alex Ross…
Batman ’66: The Lost Episode #1 will go on sale on November 19th, with Len Wein writing from a story by Harlan Ellison, and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and Joe Prado handling the art.
