Underwater horror adventure Dark Mass gets announcement trailer

March 22, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Path Games has announced Dark Mass, a new first-person psychological horror that takes the scares under water.  This sunken horror will be coming soon to Xbox, Playstation and PC, in the meantime, watch the announcement trailer below to get a glimpse of the mysteries and terror that awaits…

In Dark Mass, take the role of Alice, a deep-sea explorer who discovers the wreck of an ancient ship while on a dive. When she takes a closer look, she discovers it rests atop an ancient manor that is in eerily good condition for spending centuries in the depths.  As players venture inside, they will soon come to realise there is something that calls the place home, something that doesn’t want Alice there.  Fortunately, Alice can still talk to her brother, Reed, via her walkie talkie.

Players will need to solve dark puzzles based on real historical torture rituals, uncover the mysteries of the past as they try to escape from the manor’s decaying hallways and make moral decisions that will decide Alice’s fate.

Dark Mass features:

  • A completely underwater horror experience filled with tension and mystery.
  • A narrative-driven psychological horror where players uncover the chilling truth of the manor’s curse.
  • Solve disturbing ritual puzzles inspired on the tortures of the Spanish Inquisition.
  • Evade the malevolent entity that is bound to the curse of the manor.
  • Make decisions that will determine the game’s ending, and ultimately Alice’s fate.
  • Fully voiced dialogue.
  • Immersive underwater physics.

Look out for Dark Mass coming soon to Xbox, Playstation and PC.
