Valkyrie and Rocket Raccoon join the Avengers: Infinity War shoot

With production on Marvel’s hotly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War shifting from Edinburgh in Scotland to Durham Cathedral in the North East of England, some new set photos have arrived online showing the historic building kitted out with green screen.

Meanwhile, we’re also getting an idea of some of the characters set to feature in the scenes; it’s already been reported that Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are on location, and now we’ve got a snap of Tessa Thompson, reprising her role as Valkyrie from the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, along with a life-size stand in of Rocket Raccoon…

Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th 2018 in the UK and May 4th 2018 in the US and will feature an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Solider), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Samuel L.
