Vampires: Bloodlord Rising unleashes new gameplay trailer

June 19, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Mehuman Games and publisher Toplitz Productions have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming open world action adventure Vampires: Bloodlord Rising. This new trailer (see below) shows how players will be able to fly over towns, fight their way through armed soldiers and how the thirst for blood can never be satiated. Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will release in Early Access later this year.

In Vampires: Bloodlord Rising become Dragos, the survivor of a vampire attack and now a feared creature of the night. Take control of the  fictitious Balkan state of Sangavia and decide whether to be a good leader and follow your responsibility towards the people you swore to protect, or become a feared monster that feeds on his subjects.  Whatever type of ruler you decide to be, it will be essential to build a towering castle to extend your influence and to further your character’s abilities.

Players can create the castle of their dreams by gathering resources and choosing from dozens of wall pieces, roofs, floors, staircases, decor and furniture. Create a castle that will rival that of Count Dracula, or Count Duckula, whichever you prefer.

There’s a twisted history to Sangavia that players will get to unravel, there’s also a diverse open-world to explore, one filled with mountain ranges, forests, dungeons, swamps and other areas. These areas will hide treacherous enemies and just because Dragos is now top of the food chain, it doesn’t mean he cannot be attacked.

Players will be able to use a variety of different abilities as one of the undead, there’s superhuman strength, heightened perception, enhanced speed and the chance to become a giant bat and swoop over the towns and forests.  Deciding who lives as a member of your vampire family or just becomes a means for nourishment is entirely down to personal preference, but remember that the people’s perceptions of you will change depending on what deeds… or misdeeds you perform.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is expected to release in Early Access on PC via Steam on 23rd October. Visit the Steam page now and add the game to your wishlist.
