Vampyr video game in development as TV series from McG

August 18, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that filmmaker’s McG’s Wonderland Sound & Vision is teaming with Fox 21 Television Studios for a TV adaptation of Dontnod Entertainment and Focos Home Interactive’s hit video game title Vampyr.

Vampyr takes place in 1918 in London, and follows “a morally righteous doctor who mysteriously turns into a vampire and is now torn between his solemn commitment to save lives and his insatiable urge to feed. With a deadly virus spreading that only he can cure, the doctor must decide who to kill in his tight-knit community to stay alive long enough to save everyone from certain death.”

Vampyr was released back in June, and shifted over 450,000 copies in its first month, topping the charts in the U.S., U.K. and several other European countries.
