Video Review – You’re Wrong About Scream 7

February 28, 2026 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno with a spoiler breakdown of Scream 7…

With more heated conversation around the film than any entry before it, Scream 7 is entering its opening weekend with all eyes on it. Even those participating in an online boycott of all things Scream can’t keep the new slasher film out of their mouths. Given all of that, does the film stand on its own two feet, or does it crumble under the pressure? For all those hot takes calling it a sin or a savior, the answer lies somewhere in the middle as we are further cemented into the “mid” era of Scream.

Looking beyond all the conversations surrounding Scream 7, the film has enough to sink your teeth into and plenty to ponder.  Is Kevin Williamson a better writer than director, or how does the ever-evolving tech landscape of this meta slasher franchise handle the introduction of AI and deepfakes? I delve into those quandaries and more in a brand new video review of the film, which contains spoilers. You have been warned.

Check out the review below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

The film stars Neve Campbell, Isabel May, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy-Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, Joel McHale, David Arquette, and Matthew Lillard.
