Vince Vaughn joins Dwayne Johnson’s wrestling movie Fighting With My Family

February 14, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Originally published February 14, 2017. Updated April 15, 2018.

Fresh off his stirring turn in Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge, Vince Vaughn has been cast in Dwayne Johnson’s wrestling movie, Fighting With My Family.

After the report last week that Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey had joined the project along with Nick Frost, the picture – which tells the true story of WWE star Paige and her family of pro wrestlers – is now really starting to take shape.

The news comes after the rights to the movie were recently snapped up for a whopping $17.5 million by MGM. Fighting with my Family is being developed by Film4.

Produced by Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, the Rock himself announced the casting of Vaughn on his Instagram.

The confirmed cast so far includes Florence Pugh as Paige, Jack Lowden as Paige’s brother Zak, and Headey as Paige’s mother. Frost’s role has yet to be been revealed.
