Wargaming celebrates 6 years of World of Warships: Legends

August 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Wargaming is celebrating the 6th anniversary of its naval warfare multiplayer World of Warships: Legends with a special anniversary update. This new update brings two new Premium cruisers, a special Bureau project and three weeks of excitement that are packed with rewards. Plus, there’s a second wave of ‘Blue Archive’ content to enjoy.

This new celebratory update brings the first World Campaign with Free Admiralty Backing. This campaign will have 100 milestones filled with rewards for players to fight through, leading to the final reward of a choice between two Premium ships – the Japanese Tier VIII Premium destroyer Minegumo or the Pan-European Tier VIII Premium battleship Niord. The unchosen vessel will be available to purchase with Dubloons after the campaign.

From 11th August to 8th September, World of Warships: Legends sees the return of ‘Blue Archive’. This latest content will allow players to expand their navy with three new ships – Tier VIII Premium French cruiser BA Utnapishtim’s Ship, Tier VI Premium Italian battleship BA Binah, and Tier VII Premium Soviet battleship BA Hovercraft.  There are also three new Commanders, Hayase Yuuka, Konuri Maki, and Kosaka Wakamo, all with their own unique voiceovers. Previous Blue Archive content can be gained from the store and through ‘Blue Archive’ II Containers.

There’s a number of in-game activities for players to participate in that can earn them special event currency, Piñatitas. These can be exchanged for a range of birthday-themed items and rewards, including two new ships: Pan-Asian Tier VII Premium cruiser Irian and British Tier V Premium cruiser Dido.

Players will also be able to enjoy the Birthday Mayhem Calendar, which brings three weeks worth of rewards, alongside a special Bureau project providing access to items from past events.
