Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly to reunite on Devil’s Night

October 12, 2013 by admin

Step Brothers and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby duo Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are to team up for a third time as co-leads in Devil’s Night, a new comedy from Sony which Ferrell is producing alongside Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues helmer Adam McKay. The script for the film has been written by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, whose credits include the Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man.

According to The Wrap, Devil’s Night “is set on October 30, when the real mischief and debauchery goes down. The unofficial holiday made Leonard and Gabe best friends as children, though it would eventually be responsible for tearing them apart. 15 years later, with Devil’s Night growing out of control, they must put their differences aside and reunite to save their neighborhood from utter destruction.”

John C. Reilly has just finished shooting Marvel’s cosmic superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy, while Ferrell returns to the role of Ron Burgundy this December for Anchorman 2, which is rumoured to feature a cameo appearance from Reilly. Meanwhile, plans are also afoot for Step Brothers 2, which will again be written by Ferrell and McKay.
